W0 iEssential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.

Recruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.& _7 n# A5 h1 h( ]7 @6 x0 X
0 ?$ W2 P$ \4 F; c L9 FTraining – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.8 Y% a6 o$ Q( w
+ X/ g, w5 b. z* [( y* k2 yOrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.& |4 s4 m+ J0 b7 L3 t4 R
0 G# Z( M7 y/ Y- o7 l+ I# O* zNetworking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.4 R* k$ B) J0 {$ E
3 D* w7 f! ^, h. a" s/ VProfessional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

$ E! t/ W5 Y& n: ZProposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. ~+ w& c3 _. v
. l7 f( T8 `3 Y% k- }Project Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.! l7 r; L- J2 h4 S) j
