, k: p) w' E% _0 lKey Responsibilities & Duties:
6 Q: M& w/ _& }2 o- g. f+ [' j% e
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
0 a; W4 }5 p) E& p) @6 | Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
9 ^. F2 w0 C  G8 d. p4 U Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 r& X/ {% N5 x Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ O, M( W; u0 _# j2 x5 ?5 y1 l( Q' e Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
( F$ _( C9 G0 s  j5 z
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 R- C2 J( |0 Y9 V$ Z5 s Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
! U. N/ z# Q$ u* t/ G) H% r9 D Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

6 H* F1 x2 Q9 C9 Q4 f3 \: t" o7 UThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
