5 }/ l8 K1 C/ W! Q0 C# {Key Responsibilities & Duties:

5 Q- @& m1 d  u" g$ @# X  H2 I0 s Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

, t4 A4 ~& }- n$ s# _ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
( R/ H" G, v+ d, q Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
# l2 s) m$ I  d) S; W. S' N* _5 c Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
6 D0 V+ L" i6 _2 z Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# R1 a/ ~5 _7 {4 \8 j9 ?& | Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ F+ S- I& o4 e& R1 `Position:
* Y2 y6 V  H4 }- q% j% v$ L& yThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
+ G, N; l: L& t* V7 s. ystarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
