( j. w# p/ T% t5 b, h9 oKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
0 x. o, d( t4 H9 D/ r Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
' W6 d# `; ?) c Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
) ?% w3 p5 P% c+ j# m) ^  k* P Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

+ r( L5 x3 ~* R6 N Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  D/ S  k* [! k% F Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
# b4 o, R) `) \% S2 e1 M5 n Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
, K7 Z8 h, x& h, \8 u Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

- I, B5 S/ u; C- i  ]7 f. T% h- O1 JThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
