An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

' r5 S) R- I/ Z% x) V" G4 R4 YMajor Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
) ^4 P# ]8 _. V& o* U•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
3 a8 y4 P1 r+ x, [& f* r5 A/ d•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
2 w% i7 K' q7 {+ L; Q$ I•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
( J9 D% R2 G5 {0 |6 S•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
: [9 z5 r! M' WSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
