An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
" d7 h5 @# g0 d3 _  N: B9 h4 \0 H& E•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
3 b2 |0 c4 Y% L0 c•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
: N! s' y, `8 G: V5 k$ J7 \4 g7 U4 V•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
1 }/ h1 R; S% ~0 x•        Others.

Qualifications:
6 R# ]4 I6 Q- U; A/ |! i& p•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
: F3 r7 K2 H" F•        Equipment design experience is required;
4 P9 F  v1 L( M•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
/ e' Q" v4 Z+ t& L1 I•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
& R/ x; {+ R; |4 V$ K' c+ Y* l5 E•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

; E; {) z/ K) KSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
