Major Responsibilities:

• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;/ G S2 I# B) w0 J' L% v
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
$ g( s4 P7 M6 R# q' | V2 ~• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;2 @6 m- p" `8 U. u! d6 i
• Others.8 U' I) Y2 x7 Y @6 {$ ^* t# f7 g

Qualifications:
) Y! I' `0 H( \ M( n2 F# {+ F• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. , m( v* W% ^, _& K, o7 J# q* v$ y1 d
• Equipment design experience is required;
4 m- n% c+ Y6 {; [• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
& t7 @+ [" O$ q" @• Familiar with CAD software;
/ i. b0 V/ ?% o+ o3 t- s, D! x• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;9 f2 c2 D3 e+ n8 ?* [: y+ N8 U( A; [- D
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.4 p1 h" l5 o1 |% ^$ d
, R) x; j' b6 ]2 P8 V# @3 VCompensation:& z: Q# L! C/ O1 B- V
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
