- P( \3 j7 |9 tAn engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

- F: N# N/ Y% jMajor Responsibilities:
+ g6 X; E" n# V5 T, X( _•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
# v$ ]. O) I9 _4 E•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
5 }3 g4 @" l9 a•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
, ^7 @5 b. L% A5 V4 s5 Q' L•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
- J8 ~( e  }8 v5 W: l8 X8 u0 g•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
" G% N# O4 P4 `8 M. N; b•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

  U5 _/ D0 N; n5 Q, ?  N4 T2 jCompensation:
8 M8 u3 W2 Z/ L7 b* P3 y% ~Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
