Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

1 j9 B5 S4 A0 f$ {( m7 T) @Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
% ^* v4 o( Y5 w7 IReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
+ i0 r8 a+ D5 S$ M8 Q" t7 i+ PResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
* y9 n; c$ ]2 Q) P- ?Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
: J& B' V$ I8 \Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
& {& t$ v! Y# ~2 HUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
* I/ g! N5 X8 K$ DUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
, z/ Z3 i/ Q  R8 X0 N. g4 EAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
