Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
' j; x7 l! S& @$ B2 U2 a( {: c2 EResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
! F/ m( q7 O) `6 A# ZMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
. p9 K& t( _' ]) Y5 T0 i* PMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
. _7 [# J9 M9 M% z; u$ g5 lExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
  s, A% r5 t7 B3 y+ o( ]# bUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
+ o) A& B9 z" H' m4 T( ?) CUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
# ^# g( p# \4 ACompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
