Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.! y# y3 W5 g$ h% b1 K

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects 8 J8 H% Q" Y9 q8 U
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
A3 B, p9 v6 c2 B3 a8 |+ SResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs & A* a8 }" b& Z( T+ _% r( K+ i
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients : Q: f2 m: j) G& _5 a* E
6 e* F* O) N# o5 X; M1 _Qualifications7 x3 o) } y% b- D- [6 T/ f5 z
! o+ t6 X* ~: Q1 f
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
* f7 b+ d! O- t7 KMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
- ^7 b/ K. e/ I% G+ V" CMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman 9 G" `4 e6 h; r- j- T
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset $ ^2 }0 Q/ u4 x
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
# b6 `1 \* {% \1 VUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects 4 }" s8 n2 ~0 M+ @1 k
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office " R; H0 P& m$ U* z% ^4 r2 w9 T7 t& A; B
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
