关于雷电, 当时的著名的JDT 有过如下解释
2 |* o5 T* u# \; g+ ?/ {6 [' lSt. Thomas Aquinas said "Rain and winds, and whatsoever occurs by local impulse alone, can be caused by demons. It is a dogma of faith that the demons can produce winds, storms, and rain of fire from heaven."

基于这种信仰, 当时的好JDT们采用多祷告, 多鞭打, 处死女巫来逃避雷劈。可$ r2 S, o+ q e. f# V l5 s
惜的是, 他们的祷告, 他们的对女巫的惩罚从来就没有半点用处, 教堂愿意招雷, f$ Z. }/ Z& E6 C; i3 [- {
