 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.8 J) n* P: L. n* R/ ~
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
$ j: _9 t6 W, a8 Z Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.. Z r* W% [; X; N' {5 [' r
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
6 M5 o) C" p5 k Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# Y0 ]& W2 Q- Q9 G) L9 _1 v Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. R# D# G5 u9 Z7 A5 Q Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
: R) f% f |, F! }/ @7 V2 k' u Knowledge of community resources.
9 t5 w. ?4 w9 L3 q9 G- Z$ { p3 n Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 e$ B! F) h/ k3 Y Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 9 J0 C j3 w; \ W

. R6 l/ W ] eThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; ( c5 ]3 [: t: G$ C r1 q; e
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
