Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" R4 Y0 G7 H7 j0 Q: N Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' V( N4 E6 S; G/ W8 E$ o+ t Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.* C; _% K) _/ z, d3 p
 Completing required paperwork.% m: l9 i2 \( P) K
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
# B2 g! z0 A* d8 j! c Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
! |2 C4 ]" a3 W; g0 e Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.: [. M* Y, M; W$ @' z. l2 F# x* O7 a
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

8 L5 t" ?& R) O/ d- ~8 R; z; G Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.+ D: ?9 N2 S8 l/ ?
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.% V/ H* N3 L( J8 D
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
4 C' b" f$ {- l Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
3 `/ c4 Z& w* I1 ]- Y Knowledge of community resources.1 B/ q+ Q( ~) P5 @% n+ B
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
- G9 O4 h5 v3 x. E+ b8 F Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
- t1 }+ G' r+ d( {# }3 c) `% `5 BThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
