 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 b" N/ e! d# }5 f  Y7 I Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
# X4 V4 r0 d5 M# p Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ |" u! W" R9 G: v* ^5 o6 l2 { Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% F' I$ {, E$ H- ~# ] Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
# E( M+ b; N' H: H! x" i& R3 L Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
5 y+ B( p; b% }! C. c& Z Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
0 H5 q( n- G) R3 X7 { Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

3 @8 i+ k/ e, U; i3 u: t6 S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# i1 |* h3 u( l, ~" y4 m Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
