Key Responsibilities & Duties:
4 Y) d- Y  h& w5 }- B  b% u8 a
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
* x5 p3 u6 S1 f! ~2 K# t Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 S2 {( z% ~: e) v Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
1 K0 D8 t0 M& w" g2 w; J Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
; P  P! d6 P$ S5 a Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ T  b5 m& D" D- a4 I9 p3 D/ T Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
9 U5 T+ \* ]1 C1 y: p Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
% a. p; \1 D9 h9 x- k Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
- G9 Z" y- d3 q# |* G$ O Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
