7 w7 ?" X. t3 b9 Q% a; v
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
' v# C% L6 n/ h" u Completing required paperwork.
' D# C! y! B/ l( O% N9 ?& _2 g Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
* z8 u% q( m0 C Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 s$ ?) k/ I* `9 f0 { Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 s: f! L+ K# ^7 t Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- D, x7 A& f; R. P Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 H/ M  z6 I# u# w- B" ? Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
9 y  f5 y0 _: y8 u9 p- c& \( Y7 d Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
