  Duties
Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
+ V& V. `. t  I" i% N5 mProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
- K9 X# c, ^- p! _5 P: O* JPerforms related tasks as needed
, K3 g! j5 n3 T, o9 EQualifications
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
) c* N) p7 W/ c3 C$ @Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
4 p) d! h1 T* r" h, U. y0 MSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
4 C. c6 y8 L$ A% J1 cFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
5 r8 u0 _$ o/ f7 mAbility to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
