Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
! Z# f5 W0 N; S) F0 }9 Y, [2 w7 ]Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
; M, _! i- m$ E% t$ y! BPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed- ]& J; U9 N% } V

Qualifications2 G5 P# T3 H/ L% s
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred: w5 l, N8 N* M h! N5 P1 m) b
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
! n4 o2 T6 k; S3 GSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
y' H+ w/ K: oKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
! U1 z/ c# \5 w- t6 Z# o, d- \% ?Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
