$ q: h( Y+ z3 d) ] Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
  r2 B( c3 ], |/ r) w$ c. G Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
+ r/ ^, b! g$ M! I- p Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
# m$ m  u4 z( W$ N3 r1 `1 I) x Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
1 `5 x4 i& H8 ^# T- D3 M Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
# Q" B1 q. h: i8 W, _ Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
; F9 t* d% F/ ~) j9 u4 J: Y Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
! E) H) u5 r) ^  } Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
% ^# C) L* o7 A/ b& n% d! T- N6 z# k7 ^ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
