 Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that 0 K, t' B3 l3 _' ~* I' |1 `1 v9 Y: f1 }
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community / n! C4 ~8 K; J: U4 E: N
 Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders.
: J8 u( \4 O" u& Y5 L% R6 [ Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation
) F' q' C6 c: r Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals
6 Z9 c; T) ?( c% M/ n9 B9 h Facilitate group processes and workshops
1 ?; S9 p0 f' |8 Y) n Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community

 Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives
2 L+ m2 ?/ [& L8 R$ e& W Community development and CED background and experience
* r9 u4 k) {; s. a" `6 a Strong group facilitation skills
, F/ I& w6 h; M1 D" K! y% X8 c Experience supervising staff
* t/ T' L3 s2 D+ X* M Understanding of cross-cultural issues1 C) U% T& x. @ r' X1 \
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills

Education/technical skills

 Post-secondary education
* }5 G5 Q* ?! i Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)% o9 Q& X; \- u7 _6 U" A

Salary range starts at $34,195.
