 Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that
2 y: c$ }& Z, }% p4 Z7 b% X, e3 fincrease their capacity to participate fully in the community
$ z- Y2 C" T- j7 u0 ^! b Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders.
& A2 P& m' y. D0 _, m( |& z Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation
$ Z+ x. n& B5 d% e1 d# o6 Z/ o6 Y Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals

 Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community# F2 M- t8 d' B1 `7 G& J

 Experience supervising staff/ K7 h1 m8 S6 g
 Understanding of cross-cultural issues8 J" E: w7 M5 {2 g2 L: p
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills

 Post-secondary education
% u& u0 ]/ E6 S9 Q Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)$ I" n% D& u; w8 Y1 n8 B7 K
C; l( H; [1 h) zSalary range starts at $34,195. 3 V; R* \; M" ^+ j* y* P3 x; Z
