Our government recognizes that the Internet and digital technologies are& q8 v# `4 d' f

innovation, commerce and social interaction. As the government develops% p$ U0 B) L w1 v. `! g, l% _
Canada’s first comprehensive Digital Economy Strategy, we need to look
! k7 ?8 f+ @; i5 z# ^3 Rcarefully at how issues like UBB affect the big picture. We will be2 _7 K7 n. A( D; {, s
guided by our long-standing policies of encouraging competition and/ H# o/ l8 d: I; q$ p2 k6 n1 J
investment, increasing consumer choice, minimizing regulation and allowing

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has, B% C ~$ d; g3 O! ?) |
chosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large
