Help: Buying a car with title "leased vehicle"

Hi,

- q( y/ j4 u, o! n8 i( F; _  I am going to buy a car, but when I am going to pay today. I notice that the title on the registration is " leased vehicle". Then I asked the seller and he told me he has paid off the lease, but he has not updated the info with the registry. I have not paid him yet. So I just wonder if
he needs to update the title with the registry first before I buy it?

& Y" |& G- d9 e8 Hhe just needs to provide me the document showing he has paid off the lease (from the dealer or the bank). Then I go to register the new car with all those information.
