We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

! t& M* \" a' ZReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

* ?4 T7 P4 e: i- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

/ \  J) C8 c0 c- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
# t4 H' h5 W/ B; n+ E4 L
6 Y+ X- E; }( `" S  `3 _- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
! ?2 p, ?% r1 d2 \6 F
- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
- ?0 F3 J( Z" C; I% S
- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

4 E& R3 N4 ]% `# D/ _5 }. @- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

" A8 |2 h2 Q  y- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

' B6 j' `* U( U3 X7 S- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
