We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

% L- j" W. `5 O; _8 W- Gathering and documenting requirements;

5 I3 O5 C5 j( k7 A2 d% T- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

9 O2 `4 ^- n# ^. j& z- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- `: ?' J3 l$ j- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

* V8 c0 O7 n# R- U$ G! X7 d- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

. _5 O% f5 n+ v, h+ ^: m- ?- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

1 l1 G  d. C! h0 F& e1 `  W- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
