We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

0 I# f8 [$ M+ L) t) n5 W- JReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

) K" @, l( o  n" r1 B" f9 S$ }7 E- Gathering and documenting requirements;

, t+ @2 S$ I% {  g3 K9 w7 T) _4 R- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

! m7 I! E2 \2 U" _+ O! x7 Q- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

2 t, E  w, M" i3 _7 _$ N$ k9 m8 X- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

, y* h  p# g3 X- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

4 X/ ]1 f, [0 I! L$ `- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

1 }" r" Q% b2 E% H$ |- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
