 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers
( M3 H, f# g" m+ M' w Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
& \1 a. N3 ?9 u$ [" S Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.* d3 V; r5 N; E
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.1 _" t) a8 w8 u
 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.
