JOB SUMMARY:
Working closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta

3 c8 \& ]9 o9 b  ~JOB DUTIES:
4 i1 |9 J* D5 N7 r' K        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
        Operational communication with all Transport providers
7 N- x! O8 W) m, F! M) M/ A. ~        Booking of delivery appointments when required
        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
2 F1 f$ b3 b- Y" ^! a        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
+ |+ L+ K8 d6 w        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;

QUALIFICATIONS:
        High School diploma or equivalent;
        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
5 R- {7 S7 D/ I" i        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
# k% L: z8 d0 [, z        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
: V- `& W, N% o+ U  M  @0 O0 f2 j        Self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  e+ D$ n! M# O- s- s. G        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
        Dependability and proficiency in current position.
