) _. O: ]. ?: `! q& OSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada. ' U) l/ @2 u7 Y
SEDI is staffed to:

• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners : z2 e* l) ?. I1 r' W
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation " w! y& R/ F. T. j
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
9 {& f( P1 ?5 L7 x) s# Y• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
; ]$ C3 q' Y6 s% k4 r• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities: + Z, u+ x9 b7 u t$ n
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada $ x9 y+ B( @' H9 \$ D7 ^* r
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) 0 u7 a; T$ l! E8 e$ e
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
1 j" c R, U) ~( b2 h* ]• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities . S7 s# i7 p* z3 \; ~- J5 t
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team 5 B4 _; P5 K$ `$ W6 u9 @/ p
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

4 u5 l$ |( S, m6 K) C( ^/ J• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies 2 ~- B/ I& b: R K
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
1 h6 }% U3 y/ U• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
+ m2 ~$ p6 r1 U4 G" v: |% @# {• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports 7 v, L% o# X$ V; J! m. f
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

• Demonstrated group facilitation experience ; W6 {. B* j6 }5 y
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
j3 e! R! v2 F• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training n/ e' a1 q8 [& Y: L
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
+ o5 R4 o( ~! R3 c• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams % _' ?/ x% S+ M
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals ! p, i2 Q3 Q, Z- I
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts 9 K" V5 d( F6 v) x) ]+ P, ~
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
/ E' A* a! U+ a& {9 C0 r• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc ) G/ k% M. O+ M% Y% ~
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education / o- b7 ]% w) i* i: }
• Content / curriculum development experience . ?: ]0 ~+ s/ Z1 s3 f& ?$ n3 q& f& h
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Policy research skill set is an asset
