5 }' M/ E$ e3 p) YSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
# Q( a4 D. Z! H# A• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
0 z8 G8 e( [7 D/ `% T' s• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
. X+ K! L$ Q0 q; {3 c( G' g• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs

2 U: w5 a' M( ~. k9 {4 yPrimary Responsibilities and Activities:
2 ~. ?: B' `1 R, M• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
0 I' ?# [" W, P/ Z9 A. G& G( _• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) $ A, K6 K" K2 D. m$ x: ?
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
0 K5 z0 f! c# Q7 Y$ H" h9 S• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities ) J& i! y6 f4 R6 |6 o+ c. K
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
; P7 H3 @' g. J- K' d2 ~• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

: |5 k1 v* m3 Q$ t) X) [8 M• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies 0 ?. @0 C9 Q- H6 }- [
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
2 d* v6 J9 I4 x9 P• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
! e( w# v4 Z7 M9 m& @- q• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
# M' o% R' P- H• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning $ }5 z( P( ] w" A$ V8 }3 V# t& H* T
Primary Qualifications:
9 q+ I; c2 S6 m1 g9 a8 E+ t% Y• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
9 \! n8 R1 Z' L0 X! h) R• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
/ o4 _+ ` l5 ?! o• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
5 w1 P% a/ Y- S) \- c6 m$ F7 I• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
) ^. Q& x' `: S0 r% ]2 R$ H• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 1 ], c7 _; I0 v% f
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals

• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
8 H3 R/ _' Y. j8 l4 r2 y# c• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc " k& `7 P+ `4 y
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education ! d2 r L5 L6 G" R# B
• Content / curriculum development experience
8 r& g# y+ t1 A" G8 E• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners * K! {6 j) r. @4 e' Y3 V
• Excellent organizational skills " u7 `# ^$ S9 h
• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
