@" b9 `) } `! y* |# USEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada. - v8 x. K. f! x3 t5 ~' h
SEDI is staffed to:
3 V' @! A+ v, w% z( j6 `• conduct socio-economic market and policy research ' C0 {9 ` n* c2 o
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
6 a! A5 h6 Z& [9 b) i' W• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 9 \7 C- Y- n. s. O2 f5 Q' J; d6 P
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs - u$ t" n* H3 e& R5 G5 F
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
4 b$ h- _5 W% M• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
- |0 P) x& _0 m! E( E• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada ( s- C6 @5 W5 X$ @
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) 9 }5 d. b$ {" S
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required ! E. s1 l& @" p- j3 d
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities # W4 v% ~( o1 c& s1 H8 C0 o8 Z. V+ Y
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team ; b! _4 \+ m. I* _8 ]- A9 ^$ R
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required 5 h1 m5 S) x9 \* G2 n. ^
Other Activities:. F6 b/ n+ |0 ~- \) \
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
! y3 O/ \4 d! ~• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners 1 U9 k& p! F5 J( K
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting % u1 Y1 v1 K) Z! Q
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
9 l5 k& z: C9 [2 _9 C# [• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

1 z1 |+ U; X3 O" p. h5 e• Demonstrated group facilitation experience & G9 k2 `( p! v7 n: y6 F ]
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
' t0 N4 f/ a/ s& q• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
5 a& a1 N0 B8 z• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities 8 g* }( N( d9 ]8 L
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams i# P, r/ `& }1 V+ ~# q+ s- X6 x
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals ( ~, r, u) p! i! x( z: n- ~
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts 3 O1 {& M1 \" I2 W5 o
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them % C6 p6 a1 O3 X3 P8 y" N
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc 1 {. B& R% `. l
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education % k" R4 r. Y2 q% H. l
• Content / curriculum development experience
8 ?0 J8 w2 b- g$ C• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.

• Policy research skill set is an asset / G0 x; e3 N* m( P( G0 K
