1. It's cool.) P6 F; F3 R$ F2 J3 c0 S  h
3 U2 m# ^% e  o; a( v. V5 Z+ I
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
7 ?+ d. p2 C6 n5 X5 |    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
1 }' O: r4 J4 v8 S    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
7 G0 d0 V; ?) w
. A$ c2 ]; b2 }, L5 l' e主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
% y/ a- |+ @" o5 T    She (He) was cool in the past.
6 }, S) s5 n7 Q; b) S3 ]    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)   y! G' G5 T; H. X
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
2 q) L. ?; g7 a' K; ~) ]( M- O
. E2 a% k" U/ f3 _+ K6 t但是如果说:Are you cool? G( L" `7 ^, v
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not $ I% _# z- ~' w' T3 Z3 `
    emotional.
% H+ `/ [* V2 _* J    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) # m# _& m8 V$ y, m2 z( d

+ B: u6 j; k0 t2. Are you trippin'?& \. p5 `5 i- i9 L, X$ q
$ I3 U2 Q& ]8 X$ C
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: - x. p; [7 `3 K* _% @: A
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) , z# |" g( A( G) w) Q% j+ v/ k
    She (he) is trippin'. 2 V; Q: E. `; v7 u# ?
Mr. A must be trippin'.
# q8 m  ?+ R4 j2 |. }: @
# W! w! G3 f4 [, }- v4 i& H- z% A7 l3. He is a nerd; Y* W2 D- z; K" O

(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
; p0 A) e/ p  D$ c4 h, X    He used to be a nerd in high school % {: G" U$ I5 R* l
% G# \& N) S+ I$ {! X. T- Y
4. Yo baby
' b3 y4 s/ g# c0 v
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: * j  `* u4 m: @5 p( [
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
诸如: , Y# a: x/ Y* d, H
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
3 m. p) \. ~0 r/ [0 }( K
  g- a6 r5 a4 V% H6 l& f" ]5. She is a ho
$ P# R' D2 u1 R
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
- N1 Y. g7 V. T5 ^    They are (were) hos. $ d$ K6 q$ j0 p7 R  I. d/ }* [  W. H
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) 4 C, K  ]; v* \0 C3 B8 t
7 ]9 g! m. Y& m9 B, Z, A
6. Catch you later!9 {8 K, `# G0 W! b% h$ _
. F$ C/ [) J5 {+ e
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
# u6 r1 g2 X' S有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
& g7 s5 \+ J$ g(我要走了,再谈吧!)
