1. It's cool.
8 E; t) E, M0 `: P2 s6 B  k. C/ E) ^  \, P
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
# o# _$ O) `2 t$ ~7 p: w$ M" \    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
' V% G! F% E2 e( o8 A    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)3 e+ \$ m9 f- k% ~6 @" z) B

' J/ g. p. P5 N8 x  `主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
1 Z. e0 h( G) v    She (He) was cool in the past.
9 e% Q& S/ g$ ?    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
8 ^4 W% F1 I' b; k    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) ! e( m7 k+ k  C9 l; X  b5 k
$ x; ?" j  F9 E  a- ^- D
但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
8 \8 t9 X' ~0 f* J    emotional. 3 `: E' E) G3 _8 A" S
: i- ]9 w( G( o; T7 u  D * K, F, Y! o; i; [. C+ e/ w
2. Are you trippin'?
% K+ t. Z( i" \+ X+ p  W, X) p8 O/ x% q: T/ @* N
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: " I# S" \7 i$ K1 X3 }5 l; s
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) * G9 `; H( Z6 q5 b) j
    She (he) is trippin'.
* \. o, g/ b: |  G0 M  ~/ H! }$ oMr. A must be trippin'.
7 @. m7 @& z: \, D* _: _- c( b

  Q/ ?, `0 |" x& }! P3. He is a nerd' b( J$ i: C3 V9 F& l1 M

(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) ?* ~
    He used to be a nerd in high school
0 X+ a# \, F1 M/ V  m6 u/ t
( n, P0 r' b5 V( t7 j4. Yo baby. g& Y7 w- ?' u2 @. c6 Z7 O
: v) h1 Y0 ]3 S% |5 P
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
: H) k) M1 L  e0 W1 v7 d7 v& d    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
! ^& Q. f8 I% mMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.   N$ p8 e2 S* |3 `" b) l" I
; Q; W  [- j5 n) D, J    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) ! R* O$ `' t- e: q. H# p- w

# E, Q# J0 [: j" d5. She is a ho2 T$ C$ i5 c1 J7 w" e

% h7 j! (a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
) v4 N4 n. c# Y5 M* c5 f/ y0 g    They are (were) hos. / o( X, G  V/ d' q/ F7 v9 e
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. 但是如果用 whore,是指妓女,男人需要付钱的。(a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
% U& _* }$ ?9 Z; p% m. a$ |
# }) q7 m, K# x1 K8 s& j6. Catch you later!
* F5 {/ o9 [9 u4 J7 u
# H* r7 d# s7 M" z4 s这是年轻人说「再会」的口语。(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) 因此,catch 就是 talk 或 contact 的意思。catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
" Z8 K7 F" S) S4 j有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 7 J6 Z, v5 ~: A- }" T
