Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
7 b: S. d6 s0 M' c. q2 S  h0 ?; }- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
: y$ X; E4 f% B& Z1 D$ H( g- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
3 l& [, h* O3 H& X" p3 H- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
