* k$ ]- q; P* [2 ?4 t, f. b0 sYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position.  The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.
9 H* X' f1 w2 [# `! E* F+ ^: a& I) OJob Responsibilities:

Payroll:/ Y# Z! x( L5 ~
•        Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired$ o+ C* A* _9 O6 m4 ^/ p5 N3 q
•        Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
$ S& o+ Z0 W. G/ y' h4 n•        Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
  L" O. O. r! U, n$ F0 E* G/ I5 j•        Input benefit deductions into payroll' c" c# a6 R  l% ^9 ~5 \0 ?0 J

5 T0 f) l+ l+ }0 n$ RReporting duties:* a; l! ~: z+ U9 t/ w2 b
•        Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider$ \# j, N7 ~1 y+ R2 z5 y
•        Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
# Z6 ^% \4 @0 d0 k( \•        Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
7 ~8 a& m: b+ s% L5 t0 U•        Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
- Q2 c+ a  g: f& V) w0 Y6 e•        Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

6 @9 n" G/ |3 U. M- J: BCompliance:: @9 D- H$ Z0 Q; W7 j" m/ Q
•        Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll * x7 Z2 o8 q* o
•        Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.  Q$ F5 e8 u, [6 M) p
•        Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
7 n# G1 m1 |* Q, ~. J•        Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting7 k) P* |) d: \" [

Accounts Receivable:
5 |) G1 t1 u# ~( q% x/ |* ]& I1 K) v•        Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
$ I1 d5 c: d0 Y+ y5 p•        Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department, A: H1 Q5 P  n9 z/ H
•        Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
8 T4 `+ Y' v% S' P8 x•        Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing
' J; q( a* Y6 D  C0 E4 F. \6 R+ J% m# F0 \
Qualifications:
5 Y8 ]! c. U3 m) Y
0 s5 S9 S- m9 q% W3 O•        Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
: S+ W& f' L0 T% @•        Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
6 Z, t6 u  D- ^! R, K+ R5 Q7 w$ e•        Minimum  2 years experience in a payroll related position
/ I( Z, ^, |) z- r! r4 Y. E•        Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
: j. t6 i. c! h* Y3 j) \•        Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
) Z+ w* P- V3 a% A( P- n•        Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure- w$ j3 S# ?! H3 v$ n( P
•        Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
( G; O# X7 i* V$ c7 S9 p
