! A6 D# o* p* s( k @) [$ f4 uYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:
0 J3 g" ]" V. z6 y• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired8 `3 P- j# l1 a8 S n
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll( D( v$ G: `% `% L# k8 Q5 m, z- R
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 6 S! x6 _* t+ Z o1 ?
• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:
& O1 _1 K; ]$ y% Y: v• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider e: j. i4 S, E& b4 e
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website) K0 D1 i0 Z1 d
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
( u3 q# \% v, A• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority T5 @# A, f/ w" h7 g S
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations+ B* t5 _- `: Y3 o
q) T, }/ I4 fCompliance:
4 r7 ^, f( b' }! x# g6 r* _• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
) N! T& c4 W/ C/ P• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.$ F# x7 |2 d" | g0 W* w/ ^ k
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies1 D+ C' q( {. m) t9 ?
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting5 R+ ~, h7 j+ W( D$ d" p

Accounts Receivable:9 @& s. C' ~+ f4 M
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
9 J: e1 n, i$ v! F( N• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department' S( b' U- \" h# [5 O* h- N
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments( c* |+ N' M: f, p# W
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing/ e' n' Z2 \# Q4 p7 v: ~* B. L$ ^! Z

Qualifications:
0 |" J3 y ]5 R, F! j
; y! j! z M0 h% u% t• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP; w( l- ?& [6 ]. G/ P
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
8 q4 U9 z& U& B/ C# v3 D: V• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
! W* A8 K Z# t( U9 A! z. t• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
