Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 A. z3 _/ q1 j# \* l

& J9 B. q) K* O) D- o• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
8 O$ d' N$ d& O* S• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST% Y$ H7 z6 |! p/ m
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately {3 j1 h; j: l$ [) l0 w
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
6 P5 @( F0 J/ `/ H: Y8 {• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings8 o j4 m8 z: Y3 q, F5 I- M# F
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
7 n' M! m! C( X# X q% c. H) ], k* {• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker E4 Z* k, x, W
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events* m& g- o- A3 Y) L" `
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events9 m( y9 E5 j/ F# J4 }% R6 F! e
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
1 i5 F6 t0 D, r• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset* a. s V4 p+ Z8 I: \
• Good English writing and oral communication skills; G J' F+ F2 Y0 g' i/ R
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
7 Z0 _/ D. l) x: H2 `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ z1 ]( T! {8 k3 b7 z9 }
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 5 }1 ?9 [% \$ s
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds) t. T0 X7 M4 W
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment& J, N. r8 A1 ^. s" U( T& M
• Knowledge of immigrant services f$ o9 D0 \3 K: I8 _
Qualifications:
; f6 w: G9 s4 a# e• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 y- H$ O* `3 C/ P% I" B& A• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
/ \& l2 f% y: Q4 F% V7 I5 u d1 _• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
6 q0 n$ ?/ b: P8 L• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
