/ G2 q9 L% W4 e) `7 ]- C" jPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 k. y; Y/ W: O, Q% M2 n, k4 T

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( W! Z/ t( E& U3 M |9 ?0 d• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
1 x! @7 S. Q+ c+ x/ M• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 y. B2 q& Y8 o, L P( ?• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% H2 p, c7 U, m/ C+ H• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings2 M, e) t! V6 e h( v
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 l4 e8 k6 ]' ]( e) F% J• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
* W' T. `/ F' U7 z1 W• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
# `( v& A. x; v• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

( \8 k J f! y0 ^: g• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters0 W; h, t0 p/ G6 I+ x1 q6 L) t1 E
• Maintain front counter service files7 b2 O, j! [) x3 L' A
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
5 g6 l2 ^0 D9 j$ Z• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 b1 Q0 A$ I' j• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
% x5 l, K: ~7 p. q6 g- x0 s• Good English writing and oral communication skills6 M! J, R( o& Z; m
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. c8 U5 q( G- j* E d• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
' G3 w# N0 X, X7 z9 S: p• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
; {7 `6 q6 }$ |3 B/ r• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
) M% R7 Q" e2 `9 B• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 U T( D) J% ?' K2 W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision& {" F8 e) d- p. r+ t2 b
