Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 q2 g, O! W) g; e: ~# w
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# `- e1 v' O T7 i* M• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 Q9 W( j2 W' W6 a. G1 I! C
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# J# h: K5 L$ J) a• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings7 f, `' X6 u6 z9 L
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
4 P( ~, I& t0 {* ~+ V• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
; M) D% _% w) [2 ]" r• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
j5 m2 y+ H- S, Z' G• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:4 B+ M- D8 E- E( M
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' r4 I& W& j% G- }3 L/ z: R
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
( l1 H+ j O2 u• Good English writing and oral communication skills4 V b2 J; h+ y% r) |9 @
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, ]$ j0 ?; O( N& J5 P( [
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience . c! P1 u% c% k7 _
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ E* {: i+ L1 S% C+ c9 C
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
% v+ w: @6 H9 H7 F, V• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
% B! a2 r2 s6 i% u: P+ d2 ]- I
