7 C8 n% A4 F o7 k" sPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
4 m) ?9 g* O7 @2 b8 j8 q• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person( l; W% N' x0 \4 N8 X) T
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
$ o+ q4 m4 n, r) N# o• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately, E) y% z/ Q" t7 e. m# z/ g3 S
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
0 j& o" ~: p& ~0 g: S8 W* p• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings* o7 r/ K' c( e* |
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& a) t9 i# Q0 y/ t4 Y8 E& u- B& \
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
$ j/ j5 @1 @9 {" S/ F( W. U• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ I; `* G2 p0 F- t
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events1 v: e8 C% Z9 N9 ?% i, t
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean8 U) e: ^8 l- `8 Z6 f) z J6 u1 y
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; y& M+ V! O4 b! `, Q& Z
• Maintain front counter service files

; A% U& D! q! I• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 n4 C' x( W o$ Q2 ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset& j8 k0 j2 m& Y0 M9 c6 z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills. j" b8 F" m7 \9 Z* r( \$ ?4 n5 {
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, ?: \- t% h/ J
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# ~2 [' [) ~5 y5 P
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 4 b+ I3 ^8 V0 S/ `
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds% y( i" `8 L# k. p! j
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:! T* N! _# _& a: M
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
u3 z V* A& {• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
3 w; J8 l2 m& H6 b# s" ]• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism' Z/ [% Y5 P. |
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision5 A A; W" P2 V% [9 Q* s$ l
