: N9 B% K+ S5 |' {3 v" XPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:9 r; D6 K8 }- O+ @2 A
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
5 w* S0 f0 x) l• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
; j4 S3 b7 R. q6 A4 U8 N• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
# ~1 o z% r2 c' |* H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
) Y; N' V* a& u4 `6 y) K7 G! k• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
8 S% U% P/ f n* r+ m1 ^• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
( a; p/ h6 u+ E% L" e• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters i8 L- G& A9 A9 V, P: U/ O
• Maintain front counter service files2 ]7 N7 X, e" X: p
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 o& v" D0 R/ ^" W# N# k3 f
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 G8 W7 j' W( d• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 r" m! Y! U; w3 c3 g8 X$ b1 b• Good English writing and oral communication skills
4 K- r5 S% X9 K: P( Z' U• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
0 N' ^6 o- c6 ]. ~; `: L+ S• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services4 e4 V$ j3 E; X4 w7 O- `% J
Qualifications:. x2 b) V' J. {
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 0 `' d" w( F* {5 s3 j
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
; }6 r1 s( ?5 a) v• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism8 v0 i% x- _! G g$ z
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
