Install and configure NetApp Data OnTap, HP EVA Storage Array hardware, HP Tape Backup products, CommVault Backup software, Legato NetWorker Backup software (Legacy) and various other appliances 9 d$ v7 Z8 [1 p4 B) t
* L+ E* R4 a1 D: jWorking with other OSS team members to identify, plan, and configure Solaris, HPUX, Linux and Windows servers for integration into the Storage and Backup environment / F0 c9 }) E- N, Z5 k/ c- c0 Q

Manage applications that support the Storage and Backup infrastructure, including CommVault, Legato NetWorker, DPM, Quest, and other custom applications 4 \) b" e9 U* ]' O3 K8 L5 U

Implement and support vendor and industry best practices and procedures for the storage and backup environments * f& A& b3 e9 ^6 Z0 C" A
+ U+ I/ t- o+ D. Y) n0 e/ K3 GProvide recommendations and design strategies to improve the operation of the environment based on analysis, trending and forecasting 0 H. s, D1 _0 [& n% \# C* A
" V! _1 S* K! ^0 fDesign and implement processes and procedures to improve the operation of the environment.

4 U+ R* x" \+ L8 p tWrite and maintain Perl / shell scripts for day to day administration and automation 7 U. q8 [8 U; r# E% `
) x7 d) ]. S+ D7 k5 G0 O* ]( B9 Y
Liaising with IT customers to determine their requirements and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into solutions # U2 F1 o& @. H+ \

Provide after hours support for business critical systems
$ N9 u! z, E3 J% Q6 |3 |; a Qualifications 0 i) a" m( ^& o) e u& i
A degree or diploma in Computing Science or Computer Engineering or a related Information Technology discipline
0 ]7 D% ]) K0 I$ d# B' _* V
' n# [! l: |5 `/ g; TExcellent working knowledge of SAN topologies and technologies with a primary emphasis on NetApp data OnTap, HP EVA storage arrays and Brocade switches.Previous experience managing a SAN with the above technologies is mandatory 0 G" b% |# F# e$ c3 d8 F" Y
) w |7 u8 k: ~' ~
Excellent working knowledge of CommVault Simpana 8 or higher, Legato NetWorker backup software + U3 } V7 S# g4 @( G h& z( O
! J! }( W/ U3 g6 D) S* \Excellent working knowledge of storage virtualization technologies and concepts
% w: {, j. f* n: u( y; ?# I! }8 F
1 `' d2 L. p3 |8 j3 B P& H9 O: xPrevious experience with administration of Solaris, HPUX, Linux, and/or Windows would be an asset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively with various levels of management
" V: O/ q) {; R2 h+ Q
1 V* n* Z z% @. Q8 c' d' NA high level understanding of IT technical infrastructure requirements for large enterprise deployments 9 U" k4 v# X( H" u
7 ^* w* y: W+ ]. JAbility to interpret business drivers and translate into technical solutions 7 R( d" L5 ?3 ]* C# j3 ]# e
! f- P. O7 J# e" Z/ X# h: j9 {Thorough understanding of Information Technology business practices and processes, including ITIL 4 \9 M+ t3 U. B9 a5 z% `' {7 o
* m. v5 \' r; S8 a/ S( WAbility to excel in a self-directed environment

Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Visio, is an asset 5 i7 U, ~2 _; D! }' S) d! Q
