Scope and Purpose of Job
5 D. f* e& e* Y' uEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.! q% B; o7 `; c' b) w. @8 Z$ L
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities/ _3 ^$ |% ?5 U- L- [1 `9 H: A
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.6 y) t7 v& N8 k. N1 I8 T6 k
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
\1 z; Q" K5 B& {% M9 @8 Z/ R2 |• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems k* P3 S/ f3 G9 o; q
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release5 w5 k$ o1 V3 D( G- b* m
• Assist where needed in application questions.
0 R, x5 y9 P# ?9 I# @ a• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
; X/ _: n( P" U t' Yo New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
2 D& u8 X' \& V wo Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
% D1 w! [. X' }) P1 u7 k, C* e! w( y1 Fo Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
# U! q9 q0 [+ ~, l+ ~$ n, Z- O• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.2 r" n; n- h5 M) x0 @2 m5 K g
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports( h' U# E u4 `. D( M
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.. ]: r$ A7 e9 q
o Assist in writing and new product specification
! k* U' s1 x$ so Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
8 B9 H; k5 t7 y# h3 `& ]! w1 zo Act as technical applications expert on development team.$ O4 u' S/ j- s
• Assist in Sales support & training.
7 X" e& a9 u4 E2 E( ]( f• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools./ W3 Q- x9 I/ s: C9 j
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues. v7 z) x: g' r/ @

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers, R- y6 A/ P& X
List of Skills/Qualifications
0 ]) x6 `! Z, f• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.1 p! r8 Y6 e8 y! d/ a9 R
• Background knowledge of dispensers and software

• Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
