Scope and Purpose of Job
: B" O9 k, k' r% ]Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

# c5 t. p! h6 g O P• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.$ Y3 @$ P* J* K; C
• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.' S. E8 m# W% q- j1 m
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
' s# B/ s Y* ]4 [! |( ro Test all new patch versions of software prior to release. c1 B) L, B& P( K( Y% y
• Assist where needed in application questions.! o6 e' }) p e
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.3 ?* i) b6 N% K2 x8 {6 Y8 y) j
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures9 h8 C; Q0 |! U9 N6 z2 N
o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed. L9 u3 q% h2 Q; S
• Track and report all warranty failures
. ?, D* _0 D* ^& ]. q% Ao Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.7 H4 J% G3 Z# @ F. z" l. N
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
$ @2 M- J8 j$ i* S" p$ r3 Ho Assist in information gather for any new product idea.0 t" C* Q- B `; N1 Z
o Assist in writing and new product specification
" s7 \/ j9 i; ?" N& g" f/ Oo Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
; C8 c0 \! @ ^; H) Q2 Fo Act as technical applications expert on development team.% s3 G3 M/ O8 t- B6 @
• Assist in Sales support & training.7 V/ X0 l/ ^$ G% Z Z; M
• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers# K- o. Q% L# Z
List of Skills/Qualifications % L- [5 a. j9 K/ \2 H
• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.; X+ Q( A0 N' i0 a3 D6 T
• Background knowledge of dispensers and software 2 d: Y; h5 d8 |( A2 h
• Proficient in software use and writing.- R. t- b+ t8 \) B
