2 U6 Z4 d" Z# ~* Z/ }/ M•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
. x3 Y. U3 W4 {•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
8 v6 @" l3 ^1 \8 Z: X) H- G•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
: r% U) Y8 r4 K2 q•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
% S6 [9 x# T% j$ o. _3 [•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
5 f- K* ^- |" b) h' E+ E•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
: O/ x8 K, j3 [7 k) a! g( B: P•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
5 Z  k+ B) Y# ^  e$ Z+ Y•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
2 u, s/ ^- N& U, Z: u) [; o•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
9 D) B2 J' S: V  q5 n* v1 OEducation and Experience Requirements:
•        Completion of secondary school is required
•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

, b$ q. n% a8 l4 ^! ^7 j2 ~: ]A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
# r0 f3 F& t% G3 p- i: c2 b: G•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
