• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
b; I2 O! R2 c" O7 l$ g) h5 ^# C• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
9 r0 ^: e3 ]2 o* d: h4 l4 e• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
) w5 V/ E" q1 L" L# [; Q• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams6 z) z' Z0 p8 }7 } Z
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
5 ~5 b& o/ N- H• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
4 W+ z& ]; I- l( m3 D, s• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
+ i# r+ z" { {& v4 {+ [+ k" W• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting3 V2 F! q/ M% V: a9 ?6 f
• Mix paint, blend and match colors
, L, A2 R/ q8 ]+ y/ m• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns! M5 ?9 h$ z7 ?0 n. E# z& Z+ \5 }
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs* F5 O0 F: Z. ~6 W' ^
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
$ |) v& W5 P$ s8 ~( S @2 \5 w• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling

• Completion of secondary school is required
- T. W7 Z: \9 {• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

3 y0 W5 j7 E8 n* z3 xA combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
