Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , _" i4 @6 Z$ |; G, E! ~. i

! n% h( _' `2 |0 H! P9 D• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
4 s$ Y/ ?6 }% j1 L# d) C• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( b5 E, _5 r# ~$ j2 ^
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 y1 w, r1 b2 ?• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter5 ]$ M) `3 f1 Q* s9 y* G
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ e# H0 I$ Z* x5 D5 E
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
: y5 T' T! ^) l" w/ S* y. K• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! A8 [! H: U7 `
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( m" |3 T* ^# J; p
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean: a% ^$ V2 ^# y; a! L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
}) }, D# W- J" p) `7 J• Maintain front counter service files2 u ^8 W* v+ Y% U& ]" p! V2 i
• Perform general office duties as assigned, J7 `, ^ A* ]$ L4 w
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:$ K+ D0 g9 X+ l7 @* b* ^9 m( I
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
) F$ b8 A" l$ t& G- f• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
h3 P! Z, `' i5 C• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ V/ g2 ]0 `! }) V* e• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients" O# g9 E0 p2 H1 f) @1 ?
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
* c2 m3 _2 X+ A! b• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
7 S; v, |( `* G, v; S• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: }4 K7 n5 h) h7 Q! ~# L2 P) [
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. {: b4 p% G3 }/ p; i! u: i
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision6 _+ V6 Y( G3 Y. w+ L" _$ |
