Position Summary:
' F% ~- H/ ^& H8 MWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 6 f7 \$ a' B% W

Key Responsibilities:% D% B* f+ i& z
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person8 p8 q) X/ ]2 A2 c7 ^, a& I9 t
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 H/ ~( o8 d- Z• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& D) j: D; N3 Z8 t, }4 G' a! t• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ Y* S* l, x, c3 j4 A• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents: c8 T* f" }( X2 M
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker, Z6 j+ i( X$ I# _) N
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
# _* b7 x. L; M• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events: \1 W/ [' Z; C" c4 C) W
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean: A% G( [0 V- l7 I! C* g
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters- {9 I. w' K9 m3 [- @
• Maintain front counter service files n* W3 n+ L% G- H8 n
• Perform general office duties as assigned# z+ F: l0 x0 e6 m: E
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
! j a5 n2 y7 o3 J• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
3 c; a! a; k, ^% T' B, T* D• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; |5 r6 |. m2 X* G
• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 |4 J& J% u2 n6 `) B
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients$ [* i. Y, a5 X; y
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:2 J' t- c7 t" w% `: F- ~4 z T4 u
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience , b- l" j' n; j& ^: N5 I
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
& b s1 X' a0 q• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
) w, y# U8 N+ W9 `* o( D• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
* Q% e* C0 `8 a1 v/ G( C: \1 n/ J- h7 y9 M
