Position Summary:
: g4 `& I% t4 o" M) wWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& \, ]/ Z+ W/ h& W3 z
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST' y% @6 m* @7 l3 _
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 b9 H# O; ?2 J7 [4 f" k
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 ~/ E2 O, r( q1 H% V; y
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. X8 j0 J; a# q: C) z& k9 w' _
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
8 N0 [/ V, C/ R8 Z• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
/ M# y, ?+ |% V# m4 \• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events4 D- `( [$ C D; o, q, q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
+ V' u2 A- r& k• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
$ V7 _0 j6 M( U( F• Maintain front counter service files

0 T# w6 D( C+ t. k/ y( A0 M* d• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 P1 b: }; h3 [7 f. }) R3 n
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset2 a+ O; j4 g, v9 k1 l+ X8 v$ t+ h
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
* u) P+ q- n4 w9 x. _• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients6 d3 X6 f* V3 }7 S. V7 X* B
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

2 {, V* X, v( J' x7 CQualifications:
7 J1 o G2 g& V• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
1 R9 B% f" g/ ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
. C" V/ y G" Z3 S- y. ^& d# x• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. i+ h8 p) d1 k: B4 U, S0 R! O4 e
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
