Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
; M/ M) ~8 N% k7 c• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) `& c6 @. \- a7 T- d; f& h• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST% a" U# Q) b) }$ S: b0 r
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately+ ^. H9 A' C- E8 g6 H
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter0 z# b1 I1 e9 W
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 ^! ]6 J3 J2 t5 g ?1 C
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
/ H+ c; D( F9 _• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events4 ]! \; b2 G) {# Z1 P
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
0 i, v6 d7 g3 H/ E• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
9 d: d- w# Z3 L- _$ e- N# |+ B• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
* q+ O& {5 w8 E" H/ c• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset" d- j; ~. ^1 E: D a1 a" G
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
3 q5 a+ S2 y! {; |3 E$ z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
2 q9 d. Z" y# R* g, s$ g- e• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ F/ M* i: G, G
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

! e2 v; m5 F! p" m• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
