- submit information for community news h+ E* D& s" l: y
- provide volunteers to update membership database5 E/ z$ v$ a V( T% x* I
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers6 a2 P6 V' }8 @0 n8 ?. b9 a
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
7 `/ h% T3 g3 A- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
9 W4 V( r! h& K' w( }% j- provide volunteers for various programs 9 @2 s4 N( b; A$ Z
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
- k% N, c9 @/ ]1 V$ M- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
* Z' f& v6 `; X8 q6 a, ?( I7 O- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities; Q9 x+ X% l/ H8 s
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
/ D6 I" C! F! o- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
* A4 m2 r. ~4 X, V" y- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed5 d R1 [+ D$ s# R* r& ]
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
; y; I* R) b3 z- H) e- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
& y3 l) }& c' m+ P! O+ P- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events $ b: h/ Q3 Z- C4 e1 S: K, f! u
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
) m1 E; l% E2 B6 E# n& A, k- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis - Q+ c6 c- t- |# s+ L7 r) |

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
, G9 R D+ Z/ Q5 n- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* F3 b( t L& X, F5 t( [
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services0 N/ j( h/ d- o2 K
- leadership skills

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
