Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers' t! Y; k( `* b! H2 a
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties0 d( e* g: j% t. Q( J7 z6 d P
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
! _0 ]" y0 Q8 F- provide volunteers for various programs
( O# i3 S# B L6 H! P- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual) ~( T6 _ S) [7 K
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
2 Y2 V% |6 e6 O. J- E! d; t6 o& g- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
8 G0 F* o2 ^) I: I) t& u- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 d, |) j8 t# ^: V
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
5 t0 s2 T5 f9 V- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
# ^+ d$ k3 A2 x8 ]# h- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers E1 g, L- B* j9 {/ j
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ! f1 l, ^( s5 j% A7 ^% w
- evaluations 1 g" b$ r' j. U7 j
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications
+ R- \& |: D3 J# ~9 H- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education0 j: q: P j$ K0 S0 j ?, G
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ q4 D! a1 Z$ C# k( K; t/ W: N- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services2 u8 n- K: X, P$ l: C/ s
- leadership skills
6 E# V: T" }' `; `0 ^ q* ]- management and supervision skills
4 o* T( w% o* `4 e- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills: _' D2 r0 L& ]4 k3 {
