Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 T3 p* m/ [. Key Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 Y! F8 I! n/ A* @5 r• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
Y5 t9 T1 H. {3 M/ B% X% i• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter- }6 ?5 O4 Y+ S& s% x6 |. Z
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 H8 K; D% p, X• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% E) C* Y, f! h0 I9 w, }& V
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; v$ k* \* I. b% N$ M8 ~8 w
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. x* t' J3 ]0 b% ~* ]8 @

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:5 w h. l" O" S" D' B8 C8 A
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
# @ C( X( _0 v7 T• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& f% L$ X# J. V: v' p- J$ R1 W• Good English writing and oral communication skills
B {/ V/ ^8 e; p• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 b% b+ Y. ?* \6 a' c
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
' c# { c+ @- O! d) B7 }, u• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
+ M6 C k7 Z; a6 l: ]' g* u• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

6 E: \' b8 F" h" d! mQualifications:
3 Z; P* ^( `, m0 c# Y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" d' F0 ^! I6 R• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: ^0 g' o5 X0 o• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism$ m; h `6 E5 Y a0 l$ ]0 t; O
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
