Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

- C+ m3 }& l1 u) G/ d. aPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 I* {1 `: @) ^! p

4 S+ X8 e v( F; s• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 B% q+ n' c( ]+ Z- y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 g0 G4 f6 S+ ^
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
- L3 m9 t- h0 Y; s' d1 [8 x3 {, |• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter5 B" O6 T# g- j5 ]3 h% l+ n
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents6 G+ ^/ _- P( ^. U9 R
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" h9 @8 M6 E, }( V6 \/ w; X5 X% Q• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- d. i" u7 d/ i• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

" T$ @/ C6 A4 L+ _& mKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
( D3 c' N' g9 ^2 `9 `) p" ?• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; J& [' z% M( C0 R1 t. X• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
, f0 T, A2 e) n- _) J; e% p; |• Good English writing and oral communication skills
5 B0 h3 G, ?) p• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients% p! k; a/ a) K% p9 j% S
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook& Y; l8 z0 e! Y
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
$ T8 y/ D$ F0 W( W( _% @3 [• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
2 H. u7 y+ Z% L9 a4 E: F4 c• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 6 [3 X6 ^/ \* R. @6 {
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: I6 p( k8 J- B) h4 I/ r. N: R
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
% ^" g. \, h3 q3 D2 O) G• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
