Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
5 F0 p, Y/ v' L5 e9 A• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
% A$ R. I$ `1 k2 y. s& \ b4 g• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST# s5 x+ V a8 k4 [% {8 Y
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. T/ f9 D9 S- c3 o" H8 D' `
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
P) M; r3 M$ k6 T% ~• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 X! ]9 p0 s' ^2 X( t* Y- g
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker8 f) r5 v/ Y; Q3 x! p9 b
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events6 s9 c# W( G9 j
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters& r5 w1 l# s' p- c$ i# K1 J1 c6 V
• Maintain front counter service files& |( }+ E$ \: H* h3 V. i1 x
• Perform general office duties as assigned- ` r- F' j) P% @8 |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:. ?6 O8 D @, K* i" i
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 O7 H0 |4 `' |( n9 Z7 ~% ]5 c' l( v• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# T$ g# a" `3 } K# ]
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ t' u7 r+ ]5 S; Y2 t, ^8 L
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately , O- c& V# {! i
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience $ b4 S/ U# x5 [4 u8 V6 I8 O, {! \
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' n& h5 P0 g1 N1 ]3 S- \
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ c% M8 N4 _* }0 m
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision; |) d/ U6 S) O! ?6 V' k
