Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

& ]/ T$ g" C0 H$ h' f& tPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& c# t( H" q6 A0 C
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST [$ [1 m+ z1 X% \8 z Y7 F8 O f
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
* M' {. ?8 D" o; ], I• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
8 ~8 \7 T0 P% l( u# f2 D3 ~• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
, a: t) A( h7 ^. m• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
8 R7 k$ Q; O# i# \, ^3 Q% C" C• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
6 z8 F8 r; ], ]5 V9 a6 F3 d• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. I8 B3 z! d2 E
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* ?$ y- J* A4 M* S• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person7 y4 F* q8 E; N( R
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( L5 e1 @$ q: O- u
• Good English writing and oral communication skills- \1 l: l8 U$ t5 P# `# k% c* G* C. h* y
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients9 I5 ]: b0 J- S
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
Q) i+ V8 I) C* X• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services$ G3 p( {. \8 n; ~
( H- v6 x+ l0 z* _Qualifications:4 V& E' w5 X# a+ [, E8 b$ [, g, T
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 {( Q9 ~# X5 n# ]0 ^• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% [' E1 _2 w# i2 E
