Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.# l* Q$ Z+ O8 n$ H

" ^: K/ R, z; A8 I3 F: ?Responsibilities and Tasks% @! y( o; M' L
1 v" P P- a! F$ S/ h
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
$ d; R2 S" ~9 a3 F" E3 L, G1 q: N- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements- {1 _3 P& B6 O$ b
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
% d v& b l4 g3 ^* }2 d- Select type and size of pipe required/ T0 |1 W1 p+ I9 I
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools R$ T3 r7 f3 h* U4 K) K
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
/ W9 @; q; x2 V' y$ c0 p) H- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
" i* {* w% d/ ]* S) h2 \. P- Test system for leaks using testing equipment

- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

+ `7 e) T" ~& {! Q- Completion of secondary school
& j; O `. \+ E2 y/ p( J8 ]- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
% n6 V/ z% d9 B5 T( O0 x; ?5 D- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals4 U; d+ f+ \9 E ] A
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
