Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
' m4 o% R. r$ d% v, U7 q( d' N# t) z" g% I) G4 z8 Q
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
8 C' _5 z- t% k0 j' S$ m, N- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
2 {2 g6 w& b0 M- \& V7 g/ p U- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines, O J/ P; T( h
- Select type and size of pipe required# t. ~) [! _/ _3 z6 a
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools6 p; }) B' W% n. a! @
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
2 \5 z4 m* q. l3 ^ ^, y; f2 \) F- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
2 B" D, ?# ?% ^1 l, Q- Test system for leaks using testing equipment

- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business$ a) b) V- x% [, N c% F3 a4 I

$ O W y' Z- s% u4 }/ y/ G$ _# i# P' I" _- r9 X& ^9 h
- Completion of secondary school
( j2 B+ H( r0 W0 o- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation + G, s) I2 h0 ]. s
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals3 @/ u5 l0 S/ A5 Q
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

/ h/ @% O. r4 O! b- Safety tickets are considered an asset
0 U: a; M) j! A( I- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
