Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

7 Z& U# Q3 p }! w% I- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment / ^2 }. ?4 I s b& B. J
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements' m& L5 Q* ~ h
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
% G, k, ?3 Q7 X( R- Select type and size of pipe required
' h5 l' b) H9 ^3 N- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools) h- q4 d3 {) I1 H6 i6 g
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system4 e3 |$ `7 p! R/ o7 }. L' D3 F2 ]
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems& z, l& g' x: v+ e3 Q' D
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment5 @1 u, M Q& T: b
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system' E; \1 H' k8 ?% ^9 ]0 m1 T
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system! _/ t9 ?1 O. K( {5 W! p0 G
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
% `% _9 D4 G5 }3 p# _: W; y6 J- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
& o8 P1 }. L$ b. z( U& q! p
9 U% k# u5 D# G- Completion of secondary school( `' g3 S: H. g
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
' r* y1 \0 x/ p0 ^. U+ q- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals! T) i+ J$ _; h' a' J% c
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

- Safety tickets are considered an asset

- Valid driver’s license is an asset
