Position Title: Outreach Worker

Job Description
-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
6 m" Q$ o. m; j  g3 r) r-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
; I7 N* y& R5 S-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
6 O1 G  x0 l0 p, ]  p  B-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
/ U  x7 T) {  a. U/ V/ c6 h% z-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
; I% N1 o. q$ f5 t-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
2 t4 S" R! a+ X. E1 E9 o8 v-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
6 H3 l8 D% F- ?0 p. C-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
, j, M7 V% y" @6 U' {-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
; z8 H5 e1 J7 \, @, t0 p-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
/ L: `: {* Z( R1 X-fluent in English and Chinese
1 [% U/ H$ d4 v" ?1 W-good interpersonal and people skills
-valid driver’s license
