我们i说I ate an apple 但是不说 I ate a fish(不知道在猫的语言里是不是这样讲), ! s% C+ _7 z# h( B& X说I like seafood and I can eat a whole fish for dinner.
! s+ A& k2 G& P8 S) n9 ~+ H( z

We use fishes when talking about different types of fish. For example, I caught five fish today and they were different fishes. & r0 b# G7 @ W: E6 ~" m O5 b& f/ b* T1 a
Fish is uncountable when we talk about the meat of fish. For instance, I want to have fish for supper.
