Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales' C0 I1 C8 u6 c
! K+ k9 K/ t& E8 s. v9 _6 SThe impact of the position is to ensure long term healthy growth of the company/ f# S! F% M- X+ ^( ?' o6 k
0 d4 ^5 u( I h6 t* JKey Responsibilities:

* O" W3 P+ e8 }5 |: y1 J% g• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

9 Y4 X4 o# g+ q• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

1 m" y8 u6 X* p; y! ]! d3 |• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.! u; f& Y: c" B4 a( N% p! M* P. z D$ {

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.7 \9 H" C0 v/ {5 {2 Q$ i( F9 w' B) z

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

6 K- J! \+ J6 B• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

& d8 z( R* y# [6 \2 J• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
 w9 B5 m3 ^# d" Q3 {& e
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

* k" q& u3 X7 d+ r7 B$ F• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
6 S" }% a6 U$ |$ z
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

! Z' H, k1 u' P• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.* @' G8 t2 P- q2 H4 V

• Travel within the assigned region.
