买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

( Q  j# b. {% Z3 U3 G& {) QYou can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:  @5 r' p$ ?3 V1 w
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
( A0 X5 u. u$ z" @; A* d9 A•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
) O) R+ t0 a" J% L  T0 U/ @5 wSo the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

The following are considered qualifying homes:

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.) U6 v# W- M% @9 y6 @8 ]9 A

When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
