老婆visitor探亲签证生孩子能否加入我的医保？

本人在UA读PhD，有Alberta Health的医疗保险，老婆以探亲签证过来的，已怀孕。请问我老婆可以加入我的医保帐号里面吗？

翻看以前你自己帖子里面的回帖，有人说是可以的

首先你有 AHCIP

  P/ w- D# i4 R3 c3 [3 q3 H' sIf you are a student from outside Canada, you may be eligible for AHCIP coverage. You will need to apply for AHCIP coverage. Students under 18 years of age must be added to the AHCIP account of a custodian.
Students who have a 12 month Study Permit (valid for an Alberta educational institute) and who will reside in Alberta for 12 months or more are eligible for AHCIP coverage.
Students with Study Permits valid for more than 3 months, but less than 12 months, may be eligible for AHCIP coverage if their application is accompanied by a letter from the student confirming their intent to reside in Alberta for at least 12 months.
If the application is received within 3 months of entry into Alberta, coverage is effective on the date of either entry into Alberta or the date signed on the Study Permit, whichever is later.

用来证明：You are an eligible resident of Alberta
2）你和你老婆的结婚证
用来证明：你老婆是你的Dependent
3）你老婆的签证和入境记录
用来证明你老婆待在这里是合法的

以前说需要有Open Work Permit是认为你老婆必须也是Eligible Resident of Alberta
现在看来可以以她是你的Dependent来申请。

你孩子当然可以是加拿大人。

你老婆要有6个月以上的签证才可以申请，当然过个一周还是可以的。得赶紧。

以三楼的意见为准，AHCIP那里没问题，会给coverage你老婆直到她签证的expiry date.

) j4 M! v3 j! T% B7 v3 U2 yRegistry哪里反而可能会在交表的时候刁难一下你。你最好准备充分一些，除了表格，老婆本人，老婆护照和加签外，还要带上证明她本省住址的信函，结婚证原件和翻译件等等。

最稳妥的办法，就是让你老婆转成Spouse Open Work Permit，这样可以工作，又有SIN，还能100%有Alberta Health coverage

1 ?+ [( {3 H) J. U5 u这个靠谱。孩子在本地生的话你可以自己选国籍，中国护照和户口办理过程中会遇到很多小鬼。
