After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, ) F! y4 u* k+ l- `; Z, i
he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. % \/ \8 }- R' a& m! a" s4 i& b
) f- I9 v# u6 x( Y% T$ T3 \' pAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual # ~4 l. Z& r9 q, M, J/ m/ u
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been 4 C# h- ~. X0 n

room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I 5 r/ |! P* N' r3 W& e
have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed 9 M( D- D, t t7 j7 X! w

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new . n' M4 w5 y+ g. m
day and all the happy memories I've stored away.
