Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
# Y) }8 b' w$ w7 ?$ \Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
! y1 m1 L/ P! dArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
8 T) e! i$ U! h# F* dRecruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
) E5 O' g! |; k  _Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef

; U; T% L" X! Z% |0 FCommunication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
; v8 ]4 P1 d0 m& u# WWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
3 d2 B0 U- j, \' W: V+ O& y' oBS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
