Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities

# n' o. k) N) JEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
: q8 K; B  M8 x8 J, J, y3 CArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
# |3 b( h, c& A' X, T# U4 c; l5 oRecruit and manage kitchen staff
( w9 K9 O0 `8 [$ R$ s4 Q1 [" rRectify arising problems or complaints
; n# A' [, }7 ?! V8 L( zGive prepared plates the “final touch”

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records

Proven working experience as a head chef
Excellent record of kitchen management

Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
/ y" N( y/ Y; X8 Q+ kWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
