The Alberta government has an online source of data known as the Alberta Land Titles Spatial Information System (also known as SPIN2), from which a limited amount of information is available for free.

1. Visit https://alta.registries.gov.ab.c ... temunavailable.aspx, click on the 'Guest Login' button, and agree to the terms of use:

2. Click on the 'Search' button at the top of the next page:

5 w+ s( S. O& {8 z5. This will bring up the rough area on the map. From here you may have to navigate around using the north, east, south and west buttons. There is also a zoom button at the top left:

6. Once you've identified the property you want, click on this little icon in the bottom left of the screen, under the 'Tools' functions:2 L$ k7 C- z/ s7 I S) i

7. Then click on the property you want and it will open up a new window. In that window, click on the little binoculars icon under 'View':' D7 B! A$ G# V! h

8. That will bring up basic information about the property, which usually includes the 'value' and 'consideration' of the most recent transfer of ownership:/ F, d. z! x' i. L7 u% O7 E
