As you may have heard, a new federal carbon tax will be introduced in Alberta on January 1, 2020. The tax is part of the Canadian government's comprehensive climate action plan to help lower carbon emissions., l R {# q2 d$ K) x/ o% x. r

You'll see a new line item under your gas distribution charges as soon as your bill starts to register January’s usage.5 p% ~% {( ^8 u' u) M9 d% K9 z
