EDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants./ t1 c7 U' _' H) j1 v: K! q
) N5 w+ K6 `9 r; f; WThe two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.- t1 s' G i* g5 n' {: N k% |/ ]

“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge.
