Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

  ~( ], w! N$ I- h· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

( S" c3 q3 X* h* Y7 T  o8 j· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

, K  v+ O- {% \) Z· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
' A1 C" c5 a5 H6 w2 f' f
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

4 N. T5 [+ k1 [$ {: H1 a, c3 L· Secure loads safely

8 m1 {1 s  I: N3 t) ?6 T· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
" l& b. U1 O- b0 U) d
1 j! v6 [, g! u; d  z· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
$ p5 n7 w" S2 }! B/ d$ N
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

3 ~0 y* c) S: o/ b4 L· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

3 p7 r% w) i% m9 l" Y· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

! d1 j4 d  A/ q( d3 }+ R· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
