CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
! N' E7 k" x/ D2 @% M1 R+ @) d
1 C* e8 v" r$ L· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
3 `% M9 }; _6 f0 `/ `8 w9 [' z" n
' B# [  M, Y7 Q: |3 m. I- n6 Y* \· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
9 e! ?2 i2 m8 W: m5 h# _
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
, e1 ^- u8 H: x( w
8 N; s" [  ^4 o8 i/ v· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

  G: m, b- y- g$ H, I9 c8 C· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

: D# G# v, _# j) Q; I3 N- l* X4 }7 N· Minimum 3 years experience
, c+ R- z; r8 O" _
" d: B' @0 V8 S( h7 r' @. r4 `4 ~· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
. Y5 D# G: V- }& O
· Load securement certification
6 N; g4 ?) |, [8 u. M
* ?& U2 X& j* i" m; K+ h2 {· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

: s0 i# x/ u! g6 q! L. O) S  C· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

8 d/ `. P% X" R: Z) s· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

) T2 P6 Q: R$ p: y· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
