pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

  ]/ q( f' F6 Y  I" P% `" `( [Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
! R7 E3 a! F+ T9 ?& [the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
. [) @. A7 k0 X# o+ J4 Aschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
" C3 ?6 e/ X5 |, eCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
$ I# `& j& C7 o. U' R% w& O: H- ytheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
  }( B' a" E: T* ?" e5 D) massisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
9 c, L8 J+ R& pvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
+ L5 |+ g2 F4 w: c9 xoutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
  I+ ~& C; q9 `: v7 Jexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents

! P% J  F" c* C6 Tpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

: b! M* D+ t) `4 |" j+ T/ N3 DQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
) N  c9 ~+ t! o2 LCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
* b8 y/ f; P4 C' r' mdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
6 V, K3 V8 C' t6 u- u, m3 ea variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
3 w2 m+ `' F1 R- m6 n* Tof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
8 y/ u2 O; T  Y- \3 F) ~5 uExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
