一般室内20多度，很多人穿单衣，我也穿单衣。但是有些住house的人舍不得烧，室内较冷，这种情况也存在。

apartment就是国内的楼房，在加拿大是穷人住的。

Not really.
If you have a job, family income>=30,000/year, you definitely can buy a house. Actually, 80% of family have a house. Very normal in Canada.

For senior/older people, they cann't very much backyard work, they like to buy apartment.
