11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

' m2 l) |, r5 ~* Q! IJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
" `( ~! W+ _2 o1 Ucarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
( W3 G9 \8 }$ V5 |5 B
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
& i8 l9 [* g* F( F) C+ c3 R- khigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
( E7 y2 T; t% Z
# Y! Y; `- D* [4 W9 X3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
$ P- w2 I* X  k: ^  G! t2 l0 ~total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
9 |& z- m2 E$ D1 x! h3 A2 \# jand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
7 I- s& f8 y, ]1 P  |# k$ Eaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
- H8 e+ `. p" y# Pintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

; Q& L1 o; i; a; m4 q7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
3 `, ?" Z2 F; h. L5 Y2 G; |5 pManager.

# p' ]0 U7 V9 s& y% E( S" xQUALIFICATIONS;
6 Y1 B1 }0 P, A6 A1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
) [9 w. _, m% }& m
$ W/ f3 n' `2 U) J) A) g! d4 l% {8 V2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
! l* M; p; `& u  q) o$ U! J, [3 r
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

( S( |# X' S# _1 V4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

8 S1 T! ^$ n+ t4 y3 v- D5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
0 e( C7 m; @* E3 _+ A3 ]' ^professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
