Thursdays

- a  h9 R) t0 J+ K& D- h& b1 B) l9 NJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
6 _4 ~1 Y6 w. Z  Z; a4 Mcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
( M2 E) A8 d4 M9 dorders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
: A  j3 ?6 X& @2 o5 ], zhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
  H2 B. X  A: t# p' ^4 i% T
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
5 z8 M: i4 s) O, W: Btotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4 t+ _0 U: K3 c3 z5 D4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
5 Y8 R. T+ f2 n! p& a% e2 kincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
, E9 K% t+ j9 ~/ f" cand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
! ?! Y! Y1 k8 k" }: c6 k4 |9 Sintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
( r# z( u3 i& }9 @% Z6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
' L8 d5 q4 P, z/ N5 C, vManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

& V, x0 p& \! X  Z3 b6 n7 R2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
  s, T0 g+ g: G% E* H4 Z, Yoperation.
  O# q$ A6 E9 b
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
( M% }5 [9 A7 j2 C* e) r: E8 ?/ }policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
% _& ]% P* D1 l. n
/ b! d/ n6 F- v5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
