Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
  v5 u& e9 S8 f) k% K) F0 [$ |Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
0 ]  y9 U9 @2 z/ f0 icarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
  X3 [) `- ]6 D1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
5 {' U/ o2 R, |3 v
+ E9 j* r  X  ]2 D7 x8 t2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
/ S* \6 s0 r7 z% C, A4 Oaccordance with Students' Union policies.
; U$ D* D8 }: E! @' l! A4 p6 b
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
5 ~4 q: w3 U6 _7 `7 }& p+ @total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

; `% T7 b. X' M' P- o' U3 M8 A4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
7 u. p" h0 O! L. Uand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
7 O! y/ \/ s. Y- Waction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
, C0 _& K7 v  `& o4 i! O! gManager.

+ s: `' d! K0 Q& T( _7 |QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

5 r$ r' `& D( W/ g3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
: F# X8 R. o6 o/ H* apolicy.
3 x* B' A: [" p; k5 H: ^
" N- e* ?  r7 V; ^2 e3 ]4 C4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
  ?, r: D/ e7 f, h' r" Y5 Scard transactions.

5 j! v: c3 s" s* y4 i7 o5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
. c$ ~' \6 M, sprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
