JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the
* |* W; y8 n0 S2 W cOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the g" Z( A4 {6 w2 L6 K
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, ! Z7 d2 E' t& M/ h3 T$ a
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
& y2 G0 ?* v- y: Y( @1 u$ l0 {( ]1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and
' H: ?# L# R s# I( T$ z& e& Ebeverage items.9 H4 m4 [1 l3 M3 q
% {0 R; ~$ f( i9 T
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
" w* L' f. R. }" d; Bbar and debit floats.
& D/ U3 J& R# L; z8 e `$ F3 T4 Z6 \* ^6 h/ j
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
- I, ~/ X7 d& Teach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular
- E# V/ d$ T5 Jattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
9 e* p% L4 ~4 U7 hseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
+ w- f* _7 d7 W1 l7 m P5 u9 P1 Kstorage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol 3 d0 x& n( I9 z5 H( z
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close - N; G9 F, P) u: K! q, ?8 Y& B) @& Q E
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a 0 S' e6 y2 r/ q& `2 S
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in 8 N+ X2 F; s; }" k
accordance with Students' Union policies.7 J) S9 s, M3 u4 ]

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a . P) E$ c+ d( S- J( Z
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- i% [! ^' n! H# P1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.$ O4 d9 G7 n7 V( U5 L. N7 y
/ \- j* i; a4 h7 _' H' T0 ?9 K2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 4 H" x; f& m+ s: a
operation.4 ]3 K. K9 |" Q1 X; x% V, }; ^- G

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in * v/ r- C P$ Z `
accordance with Students' Union policy.
