* B( V- E3 u* `* j  bThe Organization: Harcourt House Arts Centre is an artist-run, charitable non-profit organization that promotes contemporary visual art to interested individuals/organizations by providing education, exhibitions & resources.

$ {8 @$ W- X; g/ V; }& F4 ZPosition Abstract: position was created to expand awareness/participation in Harcourt House Arts Centre art ed. programs, as well as to create accessible programming for children/youth to enhance our existing art education and enrichment activities.

0 a; n, A5 O2 A2 n( E6 @; V1 vTasks & Responsibilities: to run the 2007 Art Expressed summer art camp from July - August 2007. This initiative will be a continuation of last year's program and involves initial development, marketing plan, co-ordinating logistics, designing/preparing the art education brochure, day to day administration, taking registrations/payments, scheduling and running the art activities & day camp promotions.

4 s7 Q; Q' y& F+ [7 G  K: z2 R8 {& OPLUS: continued on-site liaisons with Harcourt staff/instructors to ensure smooth operations. And, reporting to the Art Education Manager/Executive Director, assisting with duties involving Harcourt's year-round community art education program.

Successful Candidate: Experience in teaching visual arts, or with administering an arts program. Position will require an ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team. This person should be familiar with the Public School Education system & have an interest in curriculum requirements (visual arts).

Qualifications/Skills: currently enrolled in, planning to attend, or recently graduated from related post-secondary education or training; computer literate/able to work in a MAC environment, write copy for promotions and design promotional materials; creativity is essential; experience working with children an asset.
