1. Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.
! j, ]8 Q7 P* k2. Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China. " W# I7 @ a" @4 V/ s) j. a5 M
3. Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms. # ^2 f7 h. e* v4 @. B: M5 O0 Y1 Q0 z

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:7 x. y- f3 h, Q
A+ t: `7 Z% X6 w! Q6 y% T1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.
/ e7 z$ j9 I$ q4 k$ e/ Y; T2. Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.8 S: d. m) D. ]& R
3. Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous. . ^2 f" S! v7 M# g
4. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.2 R- J$ ^; W( c
5. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. % z" s, Q! r' \, Y6 O
6. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
