DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

& c- g7 A& Y6 y) X; pDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
" _: R; A7 g6 |) b, Z6 i* t1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.

2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.

% ^+ c8 k# A2 _- r, `2 }3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
6 {1 b% u! D3 _4 q7 J0 Kof garbage.

- Q; q- A0 G% _) L8 s5 f4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
consumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

" V/ `" s# M3 W8 Q* @) E- ^3 q& ~5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
) o5 l- @7 l% z4 yarea when required.

- U( q& m2 Y& q1 N/ z6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
, w4 r: X" a0 E' e1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

+ V" L4 c, k( D, \, v2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
3 T" K& b  U$ @7 Pof patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.
  I* A0 s3 M" h: P; y
3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

5 [, G1 K3 d# b' S0 `) ]4) Must be physically capable.

) B3 l3 o7 W! ~, D% V- r5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
