the Students' Union and oversees all electoral logistics as per Bylaw  
) ~7 }* ?& B2 J+ U) [8 A2000.  The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'  
) |( e; n2 S% U: S4 L  W# pCouncil in the manner set out in the Council Administration Committee  2 S- m  f  `, X$ r# O: z* D
Standing Orders by April 15 and serve from May 1 to April 30 of the

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000./ C8 l( @( T. o4 k, W* C

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing  ! F; K4 u9 o) a% E1 `
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations  
6 ?# E" s% p! j+ {3 ~: i* nacross campus, and advertising the poll locations.

" t( P% Y' |: |5 @) \5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/ ! y1 a9 ^! e3 S) Y: M) ]5 Y  R

8 H  Z& V3 {: C: P6 q* w6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate

7) To facilitate classroom speaking arrangements during an election/
+ M9 B$ C0 H* G  J: hreferendum.

Bylaw 2000.

( M$ ]6 V! x1 R7 c0 R" N+ a0 M" ]5 nminimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,  # u" j+ R) d8 B! H; p, Q$ a
from the first working day after nominations close until the last day  , Q5 Y- [) ~( P
of voting.  These hours are to be posted in advance.' I7 v0 i* G" g

/ U9 k# p8 f* y* C3 r- l11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during  
& M; q$ K0 J& y: Zthe course of an election/referendum.

# L# f6 M, c" g12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting  ! _3 I4 q1 b; n$ o1 u( e
process is in place.

) v+ M" P) w9 {! K7 T13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

QUALIFICATIONS:- G0 s# Y2 f, g# [4 c$ i

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course  4 z% I: l4 U" d
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'  
# V, u! ~$ P7 K7 C1 D4 y5 ?Union member.& V5 i! p6 F5 ]: Q6 _
3 G$ C( j, H1 i+ Y5 B
2) Must have some experience in student elections.$ d& _7 |! A0 K7 m

  A+ F% p! e$ A) c7 D8 C  t3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or  ! z+ W. X. o6 H( S4 W+ K
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position  
9 _6 P% C* q$ e+ m2 _' X% Dwith the Students' Union.' [8 t% \4 d( r" q, P( t

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.

5) Excellent project management skills are required.
