2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000+ ?0 r3 H8 }5 G' q: Q( L B$ ~

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.( b# T: Y* b. J9 [ R' j
4 r1 ]/ e. R+ n8 b5 J' b3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing # Z3 O7 X; a* m5 _& B
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations 3 D" ^/ D5 T/ L8 U0 [4 C
across campus, and advertising the poll locations.8 z, a; ^1 f2 e: b9 Q
* q1 @9 Z4 W/ @# a5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

7) To facilitate classroom speaking arrangements during an election/

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

from the first working day after nominations close until the last day

/ |( Y- X+ j) ?( ^11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during 4 ]9 g' R+ |2 |: l1 D7 U5 K) y' f1 q
the course of an election/referendum.

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

[' X5 X7 ]4 a13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

15) Perform other job related duties as required by the Council

QUALIFICATIONS:0 L8 |, ~$ v( U. H; H& y- v/ a
2 }6 M6 H6 O ?0 P) t2 R1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
* W% R4 h3 f) a$ h3 w" T7 }for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
! @2 B4 | c+ V) XUnion member.
* Q# F2 b" Z7 V1 M# U/ h- R- @" S+ v
2) Must have some experience in student elections.

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or $ C2 G a7 @# {7 j9 D$ Y
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.
