This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.5 H3 j3 b, `) m2 N. Z, y$ y, C! g

( ]$ c; n) Y; z# u* \& ^: d& g• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.8 x& e) U2 c- @. H, D; t
• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.

• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations.

• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.

- N/ |/ G3 H' r3 D* u+ K! z2 N* rto be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).- F7 H0 D2 D6 W7 A( u1 o2 @
• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.

• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) + q% y @ K! t8 Y- l; T- C% b
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period.
" F- L5 C1 q$ T• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill ( x9 V0 Y9 X; f8 |
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).- z1 {4 k" {4 l5 u

• Internal ETS applicants must have completed all mandatory in-house training.

1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly

Training Rate: $16.56 Hourly
