Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

- submit information for community news
- k) J+ f4 Y# |+ A& {) Y# A- provide volunteers to update membership database9 L g3 a* ]. H* f
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers# H. K4 ] n; F; u
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties. H0 b& J1 F0 S; S
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
! W+ V! C, u" Y8 v- provide volunteers for various programs + B9 f% `* r: _( q) f8 L% a9 ~3 e
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
; @( p" L) ^$ K- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
$ c3 I- M) |2 o3 C7 ~3 f; A. T- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
6 U) l9 V/ {3 F9 g0 m; _2 v- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed1 G& ~3 ]2 ?; J
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
0 {) s( @* v4 E) Y% K: Z* ?- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 2 Y9 I" n3 J+ M
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 7 I r! {3 Y/ P2 U5 t* u6 H- ~: S+ i
- evaluations

Qualifications
, v4 E. |( I0 J0 R/ ` \7 Z- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education) U+ D; |2 t, N x- d/ F* ~
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* `% y$ h$ [% n& t# P/ d# N' J. E
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services c* g9 h+ m/ G) k
- leadership skills
