• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
! p$ z% g; x6 W T; j" m: b j• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends$ @5 F$ s# E" l; t
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups, P* ?3 u% l* J) N
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
- q9 G8 e. N3 y1 w! g7 R• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

. h; {& G# i" _1 `8 aQualifications
0 y4 m, g' S8 V( \! @6 a' ~! _- University degree in a related field; ( {0 }2 X' t0 A4 J
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
8 T4 k5 f1 S% w2 S# j4 d- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 4 C A0 O ?0 M( B. ^9 \$ i) `0 \% L
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization s* _$ P! o* V" X) ^6 D0 y# R& l- R

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 7 u' a' L: t3 I
