• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions( O d3 @. z) h3 J N0 H
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
. y5 }& C3 z5 y! a, {+ |$ o1 [. w9 \• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends
' S3 y9 k' A/ S) R• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends4 }5 O" @( E k" n; @' y, w
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities; x+ q9 ]1 @+ e- }
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
1 V1 h1 L* h! w" C• communicate the value of the organization to the public6 v ?6 C" R, j, r- P
• identify community needs and trends$ c W: S! I( y2 e7 b
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
! c0 I* ^ s3 B; ^: b$ i0 {! m6 k• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
4 U" M- B$ H& z, ` E• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.$ A* }' \/ x2 ]
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff0 F' R" [: V! I% C6 i3 Y5 F- [

Qualifications# Q u% @" N3 S5 H1 E, F
- University degree in a related field;
6 Q; t: p+ [3 v% E, A' X- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;2 W6 J' L9 b" W+ r% X: a+ n
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
- y5 {8 N Z8 L7 w$ U- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 4 a; `9 Q! P: _, w* d
0 k" D* s3 |( j( G$ j
Salary
& p7 M5 {! w4 n& L$ q- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
