) s/ t0 b2 Z: ?$ AThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University3 R( Q' D% Q( l7 o
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
* d- }0 t( Y7 e) K7 c3 z eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
( E- M Y! l3 y8 W+ g& ` cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and1 l/ X* p; j0 @! U& i
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on9 w1 v K m" L! q
this broad land.
g! l7 K8 h. ]1 X2 ]) m+ b _, I. X; H1 a$ M9 m
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to, S: u u( W" K( q3 E4 e) r( L
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
s; d: \5 l3 R$ i talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
) G) j+ l) g. l2 B performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show# m O: q3 {4 h) u3 K+ X: W0 Z
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in, D [. B8 ?! E
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a2 Y; {3 W* ^, F
lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs6 v) S" D. C- n/ m4 ?; k2 W7 U) Q: V
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
# c/ \5 `5 E( P5 |6 O; U9 l stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any8 ^ k; x# _4 T% a& c* Y- F1 H1 W4 q
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
/ R, f# L, K; M5 A program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
5 z' S! e1 q+ ]( i+ N& q1 x comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since' v2 ?9 S j& A) i
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.7 R! N; |% q0 p. ~3 N
. u# l# T/ h3 @0 DMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
" O% X3 e% R k' G0 c on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system$ l( @' I$ Z! K: f: a, k
